Our classes are free and are scheduled at convenient times of the day.

No documentation is required. You can borrow a Chromebook, hotspot, and other devices for free (when available). 

These classes are designed to provide a welcoming and low-stress environment for English learners from Spanish-speaking countries. The Avancemos professors will provide you with support in Spanish to make English learning more effective and education more accessible. 

We focus on vocational English to work in the USA. We also focus on life skills that will help you reach your personal and academic goals. 

All students are part of Glendale Community College and have the opportunity to take advantage of many options, including basic skills courses, preparation for high school diploma or high school equivalency tests (GED/HiSET), citizenship, computer classes, certificate programs, and academic studies.

Also, all students can access many free resources, such as the food pantry, mental health counseling, academic counseling, computer lab, tutoring, library, and practice conversation skills in the Learning Cafe. 

Once you start Avancemos English as a Second Language classes, your teacher will give you more information about the many educational opportunities at GCC and other resources in the community. 

All new students must take a Placement Workshop. Call/text today to make an appointment. Many classes are currently full, but we are working to offer more classes.
