This course provides students with a comprehensive understanding of all medical front office duties performed in physicians’ offices, hospitals, outpatient clinics and other healthcare facilities. Emphasis will be placed on mastering medical terminology, front office administrative procedures, handling problem situations involving patients over the phone or in person, learning basic billing and coding and medical software. Students will have an equal opportunity for exposure to administrative and clinical experiences. They will meet and discuss learning with the instructor on a regular basis.
